1. Controller
DocksBase is operated by David Sajosi, sole proprietor (Einzelfirma) established in Switzerland ("DocksBase", "we", "us"). Contact: david.sajosi@gmail.com. This Policy explains how we handle personal data in connection with
the DocksBase website and, where we act as a controller, the DocksBase service.

2. Data we process
- Account data: name, email, marina details, and login information for the people
  who administer a marina account.
- Boater data: where a marina uses DocksBase, we process personal data about its
  boaters (such as name, contact details, billing address, and vessel details) on
  the marina's behalf — for that data the marina is the controller and we are the
  processor (see our Data Processing Agreement).
- Payment data: payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage data: technical logs and analytics necessary to operate and secure the
  Service.

3. Why we process it and legal bases
We process personal data to provide and improve the Service, to take steps at your
request before entering a contract and to perform our contract with you, to comply
with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in running and securing
the Service. Where required, we rely on your consent.

4. Sharing
We share personal data with service providers who help us run the Service,
including our payment provider (Stripe) and our hosting and infrastructure
providers. We require these providers to protect the data and to process it only
on our instructions where they act as processors.

5. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside Switzerland or the EEA, we rely on an
appropriate transfer mechanism such as an adequacy decision or standard
contractual clauses.

6. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the Service and to meet our
legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict and
object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where we
process boater data on behalf of a marina, please direct requests to that marina.

8. Cookies
The website uses only the cookies and similar technologies necessary to operate it
and, where applicable, to remember your preferences.
